The country is small but is very rich in cultures; traditions, places, customes, people, history, etc. Among the most famous aspects that make El Salvador unique people can find a variety of dances. But, these dances are not like any other dance. They are a representation of El Salvador culture. The country is divided in 14 departments, and each one has more than one dance that make them unique and differeng from each other. To mention some of them, "El Carbonero" is one of the most famous dances in the country, "El Carbonero" is considered as the second national anthem. The song was written in 1934 by the compositor Pancho Lara. The song talks about a character from humble beginnings coming down with coal sold in the streets of towns and market.
